Argaman Beach Natanya

After leaving Jerusalem, we headed for Tiberias on the Sea of Galilee. This started the second part of our Israel tour. We had to get all our luggage from the hotel near the Damascus Gate to the Shlomo Sixt car rental in Mamilla. We took one stop on the tram from the Damascus Gate to City Hall and walked the rest. After returning the car, we found out the rental agreement had a limited mileage clause and to pay additional mileage charges.

We chose to take our time driving north on Highway 2 and wanted to stop and visit some west coast towns along the Mediterranean Sea. Unfortunately, we ran into heavy stop-and-go traffic and had to limit the cities we could see. However, we did have the opportunity to dip our feet into the warm water at Argaman Beach, one mile before Natanya.

Tiberias

Our next planned stop was supposed to be Caesarea. But, because it started to get dark, we headed straight to The King Solomon Hotel in Tiberias.

The King Solomon Hotel is situated high on a hillside with a panoramic view over the Sea of Galilee and Mount Arbel. After checking into our room, we explored the hotel rooftop, from where we observed a beautiful reflection of the full moon over the Sea of Galilee.
