Motivation

My wife Blondie and I (David) visited Israel for one week in the fall of 2022, which coincided with the weeklong Sukkot holiday celebrations.

It was our first trip to Israel, and our goal was to get a quick first impression of as much as possible instead of spending a lot of time at any particular venue. We stayed in Jerusalem for the first four days and spent the last three days in Tiberias at the Sea of Galilee.

I included minute details to record our experiences and to aid in planning our next trip to Israel, and maybe yours too. I had prepared a lengthy list of places to visit, but we had to keep it brief and even skipped some. Fortunately, many popular Christian tourist locations we saw have online pictures, videos, and detailed information. In this blog, you will find bible references, Street-View images, and YouTube videos to help you visualize and contextualize the places we visited. Most of the included photos are from Google Street View instead of our pictures because they provide a better 360-Degree immersive experience.
